What is Cloud Computing

It is where users access the computing process via the Internet. It provides computing needs on a consumption-based model and is hidden from the public. It can be a metaphor for the internet. Internet helps users to access it anywhere in the world to fulfill their computational needs. Organizations can take the leverage of existing cloud infrastructure without spending upfront costs. This also helps companies to reach many people with their services within a few minutes or hours.

There may have some disadvantages to the cloud.

Internet connection needed

The whole cloud connection runs on the internet. Without the internet connection, users cannot access their data. If your internet suffers your connection to the cloud may get hurt. The main problem relies on developing countries or remote areas where users feel slow periodically. Also, if the user uses a shared hosting platform, they may feel a slow compactional process.

Many cloud service providers (CSP) work hard to provide many service to fulfill customers need. There may be some legacy software or specific kind of machines that the cloud does not support. You may build in your private cloud but can get difficult to convince a cloud provider.

Most cloud providers provide 24/7 support but some may lack it. Some of them want to depend on FAQs for guidance. This cannot be helpful for non-technical users. Most clouds provide do provide very good support but could be costly.

Although there are some drawbacks of cloud, there are many pros to adopting them. It depends on the organizations to migrate to the cloud or not but there is potential growth in the cloud by 2026.
